Welcome to the Schalmont Teachers' Institute

The Schalmont Teacher's Institute (STI) is a professional development collaboration of the Schalmont Teachers' Association and the Schalmont Central School District.  Together we are committed to providing educational opportunities for teachers and other staff members to enhance their professional growth in and outside of the classroom.

Funded by a grant from the New York State Education Department, the STI became a reality in December, 2001 and joined with  the other 125 teacher centers from across the state to provide teacher driven, high quality professional development opportunities for teachers.  By creating our own center, we have been able to tailor the professional development opportunities offered directly to the needs of our teachers.
