The Schalmont Teachers' Association annually elects staff from each school to represent their building at monthly executive board meetings.  The number of reps in each building is determined by the number of the STA members employed at each site.  The term is one year and younger staff members are encouraged to run for building representative if they are interested in getting involved with the political activities of the union.  All members are encouraged to join committees and attend STA sponsored events.
