though I really didn't play very much.  Next tax season, I went to work for CPA who promised to pay considerably better than H & R Block.  I later found out that his promise to pay wasn't worth an awful lot.  Last I heard, this fraud was working as a MISSIONARY in China.  guess he took his hardly-earned money and got away for awhile.  I have tried to play more golf since and in the spring of 2007, I had my third eagle, a career-best round of 78 and my second hole-in-one in just over a month.  My 16 handicap has since worked its way to a 22, but I am desperately, but I'm determined to get used to my new clubs and work it back down to respectability.  In the midst of all this, I have bowled in a local league each winter, sung with the local Methodist Church's Praise Team, volunteered to serve homeless people in Daytona Beach a noon meal several times, volunteered to pack food for needy folks a few other times and, recently, have gone back to doing some leathercraft work.  Our home has a nice room and private bath for guests (Hint, Hint!!!) and our golf course is a Jack Nicklaus design, tough on some of the holes, but forgiving on others.  Oh, yes, the trip:  we took an Insight coach (NOT BUS!) tour from Scottsdale AZ to the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and Las Vegas.  I recommend it HIGHLY!  The accommodations were first class at every stop, the provided meals were excellent and the coach was roomy (only 40 passengers so seats were further apart than usual). Now that I've bored you to death, I'll close by inviting any Schalmont folks of our acquaintance who might be interested to get out of the cold and come visit us in Palm Coast (it'll warm up by the weekend!).  There's lots to do, whether you play golf or not and our rates are the lowest you'll find anywhere:  FREE!  Don't be strangers."
